2020 my Goldrush, Keepsake, Sweet 16 were all full-flavored, no taste dilution from biblical rains. All my heirlooms had their taste washed out to point of almost tasteless.
Is rain-proof an overlooked trait, maybe growing in importance with recent weather extremes?

I wonder if your apples rain-proof re.maintaining good taste are late apples?
Sweet sixteen is not a late variety for me at least not gold rush late. What about northern spy? Or the variants?

And all my very late limbertwigs got completely washed out taste-wise.
