Red Baron Peach Pretty Flowers

I planted a tiny whip in my yard as an ornamental last year of Red Baron. Too small to let fruit this year but the flowers did not disappoint.

Mine is on its second year but its potted. Only way i could put it close enough to the house to see.

They really are amazing, aren’t they. I love my Baron flowers too and would post them but don’t want to hijack your post and your pics are probably better too. Heard they are incredible eating too

Post your pics here as I would love to see them.

This is from last year, third week of April. This tree has grown wildly since then, probably 2.5 feet or so. Not sure why it has done so much better than my other trees, other than maybe location or maybe rootstock. It is on Nemaguard

I’m curious how if anyone in 6a or 5b grows red baron, and if so how long and how has it done? I’m by Omaha (traditionally 5b), and would really love to grow it, but it’s generally given as only zone 6 hardy. We recently got slid into 6a, but I’m still a bit hesitant with stuff that’s given as zone 6 hardy…

Haven’t gotten any great pics this year but here’s 2 in passing.

I think it will probably depend on your false springs? it seems to be the first to fully flower out for me, or at least on par with early elberta.

I’m in 6b (on cusp of 6a) if that helps.

How old is this tree? Those flowers are much denser and nicer than mine :’)

2-3 years i think, I just pruned it back heavily.

2-3 years in the ground or total age? Have you had any fruit from it?
