Being a party of 1 that really enjoys this stuff, specifically for me all things apples. As you can tell by my handle, apples for some reason captivate me. Its why in 2015 I learned about grafting at a wildlife habitat forum and then found stephen hayes on youtube and my mind exploded.
My 2017 grafting year was a complete disaster and it hurt the passion a bit. I just reread the ‘best tasting apples’ thread and it got my pumped again. The wildlife habitat people like @greyphase @smsmith @TurkeyCreekTrees @Merle_Hawggard keep me going on other forums as well but the passion here kicks it in another gear.
Sometimes being a party of 1 and knowing you have 50-60 trees to dig holes, cut the fencing for cages etc gets overwhelming to think about. So thankful for folks that post pictures and stories about discovering the flavor of apples I have never tried that keeps me going.
When i’m done with my orchard i’ll have over 100 varieties that will be new experiences everytime 1 fruits as I don’t let myself try any apples i’m growing because I want it to be a fun experience when the tree is old enough.
Cant wait, thanks guys!
