seems like pure coco coire was best, keep it damp but not soggy, and keep the cuttings misted or covered/wrapped. On the ones where I totally enclosed the container a few seemed to rot, so maybe don’t close it entirely
Also on a couple that I gave up on, I moved them outside, and it seems like the heat kick-started them and a few actually pulled through
But it was my first time and there are plenty of youtube tutorials to get better advice from, since they’ve all done it hundreds of times!
Thanks for the input. Was just curious since you did so many different methods. I actually have quite a bit of luck just leaving them outside as well. Maybe there’s some weird molds or whatever indoors that mess things up
Was there an external website that listed which mulberries can be rooted vs not rooted?
I thought I saw that a while back.
I may try to root the ones that can root easily vs grafting.
I have 1 cutting of each one of these, if anyone knows the answers as well:
Illinois Everbearing
Kokuso
BLACK BIRD
BLACK PRINCE
OSCAR
WELLINGTON
Silk Hope
Stearns
Harmony Grove
Kip Parker
Shelli
Easter Egg
Gerardi Dwarf
Honeydrops
Madhava
Rupps Romanian
Cool i think thats what i was looking for…
hmmm curious is there an explanation why Illinois Everbearing and Kip Parker have 2 rows where one row is much more successful than the other row?
UPDATE: nvm i found that asterisk info:
Attempts noted with an asterisk (*) indicate up to four weeks without light. During winter 2022/2023 we experienced higher sucess rates by leaving potted cuttings in darkness for a longer period of time.
