I shutdown my garage refrigerator today as we are expecting 100 degree days in the upcoming week. I moved the few remaining bags of Staymans to a smaller fridge in the house. I found a bag of five Ruby Rush that went in on October 12. They are not recommended as long keepers much beyond 4 months. But I was surprised they still have some crunch and although the flavor was getting bland, it still was good enough eat out of hand. Didn’t retain its original flavor as long as the Staymans have side by side for the same time.
Some people have asked the skin thickness. I didn’t note it being overly thick. I don’t plan on storing them for that long next season.
