Sam Houston Peach

Finally had to pick my tree this weekend. The yellow jackets were starting to eat them and causing them to rot. They could of used another week in the tree but the flavor is excellent. I plan to save some for eating and can the rest. Even though I thinned the tree 3 times this year I still had so many I had limbs breaking from the weight.

Your peach doesn’t sound like Sam Houston this late in 8a, Sam Houston peach should have ripened early to mid June.

It might of been mis-labeled. I thought the San Houston should be ready earlier. It is planted up in zone 8A. I gave it at my property in the country.
