Thank you for the suggestion and the link.
Thanks for thisâIâve been seeing them pop up in my Google searches and have wondered. What did the trees look like when they showed up?
I only ordered one tree but it was top quality.
I donât have evidence other than their proximity and the large amount of overlap in their catalogs, but, I wonder if mehrabyan is getting the bulk of their trees wholesale from schlabachâs, and simply providing a more convenient retail outlet. For me, schlabachâs ships stone fruit to oregon and mehrabyan doesnât, otherwise Iâd have gotten a few from mehrabyan by now
Schlabachs is New Order Amish and great to work with so far.
Welcome to this forum. Thank you for the review about them. They did a nice job this year with the updates they did with their catalog.
How much are their shipping costs typically?
This name keeps coming up in my forum feed. Just now I looked up Schlabachâs Nursery & found this number: 866-600-5203 & left a voice mail message. They will send a catalog & then I will know. (Pronounced shlah bach - same color vowel as we typically pronounce the name of the great Johann SebastianâŚ)
I live on the other side of the continent from them. Will report.
I finally remember to do what Iâd committed to writing about their compact catalog: page 15,
âRestrictions â SorryâŚWe cannot ship trees or plants to Arizona, California, Idaho, Oregon or Washingtonâ
That, I suppose, leaves the possibility of ordering things & books (the âGrape Growerâ!), but the cost of shipping these days makes me look elsewhere for such.
Any idea what time of year it makes sense fo call for 2026 trees?
You can call now. Often you need to leave a message. I got lucky when I called mid afternoon. Someone answered my calls. In the past, they sent out a catalog around the New Year.
