I am in zone 6A in Michigan and am wondering about the cold hardiness of Shangri La mulberry. Does anyone grow them in zone 6? One Green World lists them as hardy to zone 4, while other sources say they are only hardy to zone 7.
If anyone has any first hand experience growing Shangri La in zone 6 or colder I would love to hear about it. Thanks!

It’s been reported to wake up early and then get hit by frosts. It seems best for warmer zones from what i read.

I have one in zone 6B that has grown well over 15 years or so. It is a property I only visit briefly a few times a year, so I can’t give a fruit report. I would imagine the wildlife picks it clean if it produces well, and I have seen one fruit on it once.
