Top and bottom pic are both George Washingtons Mt Vernon, apple trees- somebody has been tending those trees for a very long time it looks like. I wonder how old an espalier apple can get?

I was jogging in Albuquerque and past this nice yard orchard of nicely spaced and pruned trees… I wonder if the owner has been on growingfruit?
