This is my second year grafting, I had luck last year with apples but none with persimmon.
With a new baby, time is limited so I ended up grafting at night. There wasn’t enough light and I thought I was being very surgical but when I took the picture with flash - the graft looked so messed up, it made me laugh so hard! 
This is dormant GA-866 node graft on a Honeyjar jujube tree. I don’t have high hopes but the hope is there. 
Anyways, anyone have graft pics to share? Would love to see some and maybe updates in May!

Don’t think I have any crazy grafts.. I do mostly whip/tounge, modified cleft and bark grafts.. but I have some that grew like crazy.
This whip/tounge graft of JT02 to a wild DV.. grew 10 foot from the bud on the JT02 scion first season.
A whip/tounge graft of Prok persimmon only grew 8 ft… but it had leaves on it that were a foot long.

This is probably not my best idea, but I have a multi-trunked apple tree and I’m connecting the trunks with grafts. Maybe one day they will form a ladder to climb up the tree!

Cool, give us a picture in a few years! I’m not sure if they will get thicker if they are not dominant enough but it will be interesting to see how it works out.
I’ll report back as it goes. It is a multi-grafted tree, and I used Golden Russet for the connections. At least GR is good for growing long branches - doesn’t seem to like making flowers for me!

my first attempted look batty now that they’ve grown over some. big lumps!
that bottom left one is toka on Italian plum. it’s grown incredibly thick and straight up, running on other branches and being crazy. I’m probably going to have to just take it off there and put it on some other tree, it’s bizarre
i don’t even know what i was thinking with that parallel one. i think it was late in the season and my other graft didn’t take and i had that little piece and was like, eh, slice and tape. i can’t even remember what it is
