Kansas is a very different climate. Here is my findings. I get more fruit per tree than most people. Frequently my fruit is larger than most peoples fruit. You might wonder why i suceed where others failed. There is some very important and not at all obvious differences in how i manage my orchard. I use many nitrogen fixing plants. I use grass to keep water from escaping from the ground and as a mulch and fertilizer rather than as a thief of water and fertilizer. It takes time to see the results.
