Show Pictures of Your Best Fruit Tree Raccoon Proofing Method

Possums are so scaryyy :scream: Their face is terrifying. Literally just a huge rat

Rats are so smart though… they’re scary but really harmless for the most part. Not a fan of wild rats but the domesticated ones are just tiny dogs. I like rats too i guess

Scrap metal baffles cost is 0 dollars . I’m not sure how effective they’re gonna be just started a couple of prototypes. I had over 100 sheets of metal 3‘ x 13‘ with nail holes given to me when I brought my property 15 years ago. Almost discarded them a couple of times now I think I found a use for it. I just overlapped the 3 foot sections a little drilled a couple of holes and used tie wire. So I can just keep adding 3 foot sections as the trees get larger I take them down after harvest.

So far, this is working

Getting rid of 7 coons and 1 possum in 3 nights within 100 yards of my orchard isnt hurting, either

Thanks very helpful I always considered it a prototype I have dealt with them in multiple situations and I always loose round one :grinning:
Think I will double the diameter and put rebar inside for stability . Currently 3 foot high might try 4 if doubling diameter does not work.

Yep not sure they are minature but they are small. At any farm store.

They are nice and mobile if need be. When I need more I have one a regular 12V unit and a deep cycle battery.

WhiteCliffs has a good sytem too. I already use my baskets so I thought I’d use them. Same principal.

Just got me another 22 pistol. This one is double action and will shoot 22 magnums. It should do well, but we will see.
