I dont kill them i teach them if they are doing something i dont like. Electricity is effective on everything.
The same works for racoons

My trees with electric fence around the trunks are doing fine. I dont care if the critters get some low hanging fruit

I had a peach tree that I expected to pick the peaches this week. Have the hot wire around the tree as picture above. Has worked for a month. Went to the lake for three nights and when I got back, today, every peach had been eaten. Hot wire was still working. Had moved the camera to another location

I usually bag most of my peaches. I was unable to do it this year due to other issues. I only bagged about a half dozen and they turned out OK. The rest are gone. Squirrel‘s will just eat their way into the bag. Raccoons will just do whatever it takes. They can break the limb or just pull the whole bag off and toss it down
