Sierra Japanese Plum

Anyone familiar with this plum? I have scion coming from Fruitwoodnursery. Here is the photo they have. No description.

I bought a tree, over five years ago, because of applenut’s posting. So far only one fruit last year, that an animal may have taken.

Thanks.

It’s worth a branch if not a whole tree to try.

If scion are ever needed,I usually have a bunch every year.

I grafted it 2 years ago and it just set heavily. Seems so be an early bloomer- it was my first plum to bloom- even earlier than my red leaf ornamental plum.

Ripening time: Around Burgandy plum
Good flavor, and on the firm side. I rate it better than Santa Rosa or Burgundy but not quite as good as late Santa Rosa. Very productive in my location but small size fruit because I let the tree overset.
