Found a number of these guys while transplanting last year and two year ago Nursey trees.

He’s a good guy to help with keeping smaller insects in check like ants, aphids and the like.

Very cool critter
Been seeing them here recently, as well. Had never noticed them before…at first I wondered if it was Emerald Ash Borer, but not.
In my ignorance about insects I originally had been killing them thinking I was just doing a good thing but, I’ve since learned how it helps the soil from compaction along with it’s diet of little creatures which are damaging towards our beloved fruit trees. I’m continually in need of researching new things about our diverse eco system. Life’s good.
