They are the first I’ve heard that. There are plenty of others on here in the south growing Ayers with no problem. Finished picking my Ayers pears today Here is Alabama and South Carolina, but there are plenty more. I grew up in the south. Ayers is one of the only sweet soft pears that does well in the south east. Read the about Ayers pear here.
