Those look and sound like sports of Gala and Red Delicious. Not interested.

Old line red delicious can be a terrific fruit if picked at the peak of ready. This is from someone who hasn’t bought any at a store in 50 years. I found an OTW red delicious at a fruit bowl in a motel in Wenatchee, WA years ago.

I have both Super Chief red delicious and the old Hawkeye. Have not yet gotten a taste of the super chief.
