Squash bug spray?

I found a Squash bug and a couple of sets of eggs on one of my pumpkin vines yesterday. I figure if I found one there are probably many that I didn’t find.

What is the best way to get rid of them? I have no intention of eating the pumpkins so anything will work, I just need something that kicks butt. I’m finding that most of what I’m looking at are contact killers. I’m also under impression that these things hang out under leafs a lot so getting them with contact killers is difficult.

So what works best? If I find out quick enough I can take advantage of “Amazon Day” or whatever it’s called…

Thanks!

Oil will smother the eggs

Adults are hard to kill, and contact poisons will hurt the bees

I pick off the blooms and hit them with 7.

Just sprinkle some 7 dust on it? That’s easy enough…

Yes 7 dust kills squash bugs fast. Give the plants a good powder and try not to get them when they are in bloom so bees are not killed in the process. Fried squash blossoms are delicious.

I didn’t have much 7 dust left, used all of it but didn’t get all that I needed covered. Guess I’m going to town soon.

I’ve fried pumpkin blossoms before and loved them.

Thanks everyone!
