Stellar Pink dogwood suckering

Picked up and planted a Stellar Pink hybrid dogwood this weekend for my wife for mother’s day. when planting I noticed that it looks like it is grafted to different rootstock and there are suckers at the graft. should I be removing these right away? any other tips for hybrid dogwoods are greatly appreciated!

Honestly I find the dogwoods where the root stock tree has grown (always white) gorgeous when maintained.

I was more wondering if I should pull them now or later. its a pink hybrid so I’m not looking for white blooms. I read somewhere that Dogwoods should only be pruned in late June and I wasn’t sure if that was the case for suckering growth as well.
