Then i would contact @KYnuttrees for the green striped pear http://nuttrees.net/ i believe they will know it as humbug pear.
I’m trying to sort out if there is more to these. At least you will know and have what i do for the moment. The more people growing these the better until we figure out much more about them.
Yes you are correct, but i saved you the trouble and emailed him. We wont know for sure until we grow them both out. This is why the research is needed. There is little interest in these pears at the moment. The only way we will find out more about them is to grow them. They are visually appealing but people view them as a novelty. I grow many such pears i think are worth saving.

@SMC_zone6 thanks for alerting us to these. I’m starting to get the impression some striped pears are european and others are asian. Humbug Pear was the first name we saw these under but the fact remains there are actually a bunch of these as @Tana mentioned. She also mentioned not all are stable yet.
Hi, all. I received wood from Tony in 2023 and have been taking pictures of its growth since. The leaves on my graft are red, but only for a short time. Older leaves eventually turn green. New growth is red and also slowly fades and turns green. This year, I might be able to sample the fruit.
