Sugar plum/prune 2025

Sugar plum,/prune started to ripe. Sweet , tasty and lots of fibers for the stomach.

Thanks for the picture! Now visions of these can more accurately dance in our heads.:joy: I’m new to growing tree fruit so I didn’t even realize sugarplum was a type of plum. I always assumed it was a desert.

On a serious note, they look nice. Do you plan to dry or preserve them? I hope to get some plums finally next year, but we’ll see. So far the only plums I’ve had are store plums and an occasional Chickasaw, if I can beat the critters to any of them.

I will use the dehydrator to dry some and also do some preserve. Good luck with your trees.

Sugar plum is another seedling by Burbank after French Improved.

Still available from a few nurseries… but not discussed or grown by many it seems.
