Supreme Vs Black Beauty Muscadine

Well, it’s been 18 days and no frost. At least, none hard enough to kill tomatoes, though I think it has been close. Probably the latest I remember without a frost, though the 10 day forecast has one by a week from tomorrow. But, the longer season doesn’t seem to be helping the muscadines ripen- Black Beauty has dropped most of their leaves.

So, now I have 4 pounds of not sweet enough fruit that I need to find a use for.

Would you guys suggest Juice or Jelly for it?

I had another vine that I thought was even later, as it wasn’t even turning dark. Then, I realized that it was a bronze muscadine. It was one of the “extra” vines that Isons sent me with an end of the season order in late May 2017. Darlene was the only Bronze vine I got, so I think this is it…

Not real sweet either, though at least it still has some leaves. So I left it for now, though I can always pick it and add it to the Black Beauty for either juice or jam.
