I finally got a taste of the sweetie pie variety of blackberry and I’m impressed. The plants are vigorous and so far seem disease resistance. I can’t wait for the rest of them to ripen! Anyone have much experience with this cultivar?

I have it. It does have good vigor it’s about the same vigor as triple crown and ripens the same time for me. Triple crown has superior taste imo I plan on removing sweetie pie they are very healthy though. Giving them one more year and then bye bye
Triple crown sounds interesting but unfortunately I don’t think it will do well here in the south Louisiana heat. The heat doesn’t seem to bother sweetie pie at all. I have kiowa and Rosborough that will have to wait till next year before I can sample. My prime ark freedoms made huge berries this year but the taste was so inconsistent?
