It’s still a little early here -I need my budwood to harden up a little more, say three weeks? But I plan to do … one.
Last year I budded to the root stocks I bought from 37th Parallel and then this spring I carelessly broke off the new growth on one! Kicked myself for days for that one. Now I have a couple of cleft grafts of the same cultivar (Rubinette) taking off nicely and I’m going to use one of those for my bud stick.

I’m about to! Supposed to get some good temps next week so I was going to use up some left over scion wood that’s been in my fridge… I was reviewing the thread to make sure I remembered all the tips.
I don’t really lose anything by trying some pears; my scion wood is already there in fridge and I have some “rootstock” from the roadside.
I’d also like to try some pawpaws - I had some failures in spring grafting, but the rootstock would be good for a t-bud. I just need to find some scionwood.
