You are right about a lot of pest and disease problems. I’d say average home owners that I know do not grow fruit trees. Too much work. Many who started and found out how much work it is, quit.

We are just a special ( read, insane) kind of home owner.

So 2 days ago made the fruit leather, unfortunately had to leave for river before done. My wife finished it up last night, will have pics of finished product on Monday or Tuesday. Here it is going in for dry.

Thanks Bob, we had 2 late freezes here in March that fried a lot of blossoms, so not everything is producing as it should. Can’t remember the last 28 degree freeze in March, very rare here but got a taste of tough fruit growing. This is probably why you are not seeing much this year. Salmon fishing has been going good this year, a few pics…yes guiding, limits this day!
