Sweet potato slips arriving this week…and after a hot humid May, this week is going to be chilly by June standards…right as my heat loving sweet potato slips arrive. Hopefully they don’t sulk too much.
Three varieties:
Betty’s - nice slips, a bit “dainty”, but only two had any notable roots.
Copper Jewel (which may be same as Jewell) - slightly purplish stems, thick slips with lots of roots
Diane - also robust slips, moderate amount of roots.
All of them were turgid, not wilted, this morning.
