Top working apple versus persimmon or

Topworking a apple I use to do, just chainsaw the trunk at about 4’ at a slight angle with the high end toward the south. Start to graft at the highest side first, than 3 or 4 more. Keep the domanent after they start to heal and fill in the wound.
Persimmon, I prefer not topworking at all, why?, well, it never works nice for me. Usely end with a tree to do more work.
My best way is just to put seeds where you want. In my surroundings native persimmon grow everywhere. I found two trees that I regularly get the seeds from in the fall and plant them where I want them to grow. When seedlings are a couple feet high i graft. They grow quick, the fourth year you,ll have fruits and tree stays nice size.
