Transplanting peppers with fruit

I started my pepper plants far too early this year and, well, I won’t get that impatient again. But for this year, I am doing damage control.

I have about 20 peppers, hot and sweet that have flowers and fruit on them. Should I prune off the fruit for transplant?

I would remove all fruit and flowers before transplanting, and any that show up in the next few weeks as well.

I plant them with fruit and flowers every year - no problem. I assume they are in individual pots? You shouldn’t disturb roots if you have them with flowers and fruit

Do half and half and report back. We can all learn from it.

I need to break up the roots, they should have been planted out a few weeks ago so their root system is eh’hem hearty. I think I’ll be taking off all the fruits and flowers. I’m already stressing them by planting them out while the nights are a bit chilly.
