We have some pretty bad leaf curl affecting the orchard. It seems to be hitting the younger trees a little harder than the older. It’s not discriminating against certain varieties. We had some crazy temperature swings a 2-3 weeks ago where it froze at night and pushed 70 during the day. The water also came in a little late but they have had good consistent water going on a week now. No obvious pests that we can see. The orchard blossomed but it seemed really light and short. Any thoughts on a direction forward?
Is that powdery mildew?
I have that going on with some of my newly planted trees. I’ve only ever seen it on new trees where I haven’t been spraying a lot for scab. I use primarily use sulfur for scab, and it is also effective against powdery mildew.
