Tree Identification - Purple Leaf Plum?

Hello,

I have a tree in my garden. The leaves strongly look like a purple leaf plum, and it has pink flowers in spring.

However, I am not sure because; 1. The canopy is sparsely populated, 2. the tree hasn’t grown much in the last 2 years, 3. the branches all look very twiggy/weak, and not straight.

Looks like a copper beech, that will grow to an enormous size.
