Two aggressive growers

My Spaghetti squash is my fastest grower and it is loading up. Tromboncino is starting to fruit. They both have nearly filled their space so I might turn some vines down to the soil.

Nice stuff. What does the above quote mean?

Let the excess vine run on the ground. The trellis is about full of vines.

I planted tromboncino this year for the first time, yours look wonderful. I’m a zone behind you, so they’re still starting

My first big pick of Tromboncino squash was yesterday. My intent when I planted these was to pick a zucchini tasting squash that would have some resistance to the squash vine borer. The ones picked were 10”-16” long. When cut up the amount almost would not fit into my large microwavable bowl. I sprinkled on a few fresh cut onions/blades and cooked them. After removing the excess liquid, salt and butter was added. Although the taste was slightly different from regular zucchini Gail and I both thought that they were excellent. Good first impression.
