Unique late hanging apple trait?

I have two trees that are tenacious at holding onto fruit, Franklin cider and Kerr. This is particularly useful to me because we get very strong winds that would knock the apples out of other trees.

I use them for cider and this year I’m letting them freeze on the tree before pressing. It dehydrate them a bit which leads to a concentration of the juice.

Don,

How long do they hang on the trees for you? thanks.

Carl

So far for as long as needed. I mean I harvest them after the last hard freeze so I don’t know how long they would stay past that. Right now the nicest thing is that they hold on even when we get gale force winds.
