Using mancozeb

I admit. Label isn’t helpful.

Maybe I have a case of the stupid, but when it just says “XX fl oz per thousand square feet“ how much water do I put it in?

It says “sufficient water for thorough coverage”. So I guess however much water it takes to wet your target area. Definitely a little different from other directions.

For individual trees or home grape vines. I use 1 tablespoon per gallon. If you are spraying fruiting trees you can only use it until (I believe 77 days) prior to harvest. Spray every ten days. Spray immediately prior to rain, and again immediately after. Use a spreader/sticker. For non fruiting trees you can use it throughout the growing season (East of the Mississippi). You can use less than the tablespoon per gallon if your disease pressure isn’t heavy. If you are West of the Mississippi you are only supposed to use it four times a year. I forget why this rule applys.

I have an older bonide “powder” mancozeb container
Label states for tomatoes 3 to 5 tsp/gal. I can understand that ratio.
The newer bonide “liquid” mancozeb label
lists a more mysterious 1.2 to 1.6 qt/acre.
I’ll go with the liquid same ratio as powder. Hope that’s correct.
It’s about what @Masbustelo mentions

It’s frustrating. How the hell do I know how much an acre will take?
