Weird leaves

This is on my Kaweah peach graft. The other graft is fine. What is this?

It’s peach leaf curl. A very common unsightly peach leaf fungus. You spray in spring while your leaves and tree are dormant with a sticker and copper. Some spray it in the fall, late winter and spring. I find one spray of copper with the sticker nu-film does the trick, once a year around Easter in RI. Your tree will not die, but its best to keep up with all fungi, bacterial and insect diseases.

Yeah if you don’t spray copper, all you trees will get it, well all peach trees. Not just the graft either, all of the tree.Spray next spring, It’s too late now, it won’t work, nothing works now. Once you see it it’s too late to spray.

I have every year except this year when we’ve had way too much snow and rain. How many days of no snow or rain do you need after you spray?

If you use a pinene sticker like Nu Film 17 rain or snow doesn’t matter.

I generally wait for a dry day with temp above freezing to spray copper hydroxide with sticker. 24 hours dry period after spraying is good.

Where I live, sometimes, I spray dormant copper as early as Feb, weather permitted, most of the time in March.
