Wetting agents

I’m going to multitask and ask about two types, foliar and soil.

Spraying my saskatoon doesn’t seem too effective, the leaves are pretty hydrophobic. Is there a wetting agent that would help with that?

How about one for mixing into homemade potting soil?

Some people like soaker hoses. Soaker hoses are hoses you attach your hose to and it sits on the ground and squirts around a drip line. For mixing homemade potting soil some like to do wheel barrels. I personally just put it all in the pot and mix it with my hands or a shovel.

I use a sticker spreader; our local county extension people suggest a tablespoon of dish detergent and a tablespoon of molasses for each gallon of spray.

Hi-Wett is very effective in my experience. It’s also very concentrated: pay attention to the dosage!
