My very favorite herbaceous peonies are the single flower types - love the color of yours! Which one is it? In my yard the single flower types tend to need no or very little support. Plus I love the frilly stamens. I also planted a small Itoh peony last year ‘Bartzella’ and did actually get a single flower this spring but it was pummeled apart by heavy rains.
This was from last week. Things are really behind this year due to the very cold spring we had. The monarda in front there is Monarda bradburiana. It’s blooms are not as showy as the M. didyma hybrids but this one has really nice foliage. A tinge of orange to the new growth and not a spec of powdery mildew - I recommend! Also in bloom here are ‘Walkers Low’ catmint, Heuchera, ‘Firewitch’ dianthus and a peach bearded iris that smells heavenly.
The red one is Charles Burgess. The stamens’ color is gold, not typical yellow.
We have warmer than usual spring. In is, in fact, hot for days. Peonies do not like the heat. The flowers wilt in a day.
I used to have white and pink, single layer but got bored with it so I gave them away. I only have small space so I only keep what I really like.
Don’t know the name but very fragrant.
My Itoh

Gorgeous!
Charles Burger is beautiful!
Charles de Gaulle, I like this lavender rose
Apricot Candy
Scentuous, this one has mildew for some reason, the rose next to it in the container on the left is Olivia Austin, pretty problem free
Your CdG is classic. Mine only lavender rose is Love Song, a blooming machine. Too bad. No scent.
Different light, different shade. The color of the top pic was more accurate.
I let a volunteer thistle stay in an unused corner of the yard (not looking forward to the job of composting this later), and it’s just started blooming, much to the happiness of local bees:
Nice water lilies. It is a craze among my friends in Thailand. So many new varieties and colors.
What’s it called?

Souvenir de la Malmaison, climber
Blue Delphinium
Gourd blossoms. I finally was outside in the evening and caught them just as they opened. They have an amazing floral-cucumber aroma.
And wild bergamot. These flowers might be my new favorite culinary herb. Intense minty-oregano with floral notes. And the hummers love them!
Where can I order seeds of wild bergamot, please? Love the color and its humming bird attraction quality.
