Russell lupines are suffering from too much heat and no rain this spring. Those that are mulched and watered in our garden are doing a little better.
Love those irises. You plan to have the whole field of them, do you?
It may come to that eventually but for now only about 60 varieties of iris, over 100 daylilies and around 100 lilies. But im not addicted to gardening.
Tippy, it is very beautiful! what is the name of this rose?
I bought Alfred Sisley this year which is supposed to be multi-colored but mine is all yellow, no trace of any other colors. Very disappointed.
I also have a Maurice Utrillo, I hope its flower will be true to its name.
@IL847
That is Maurice Utrillo rose from Home Depot that I bought last year. Last fall I forgot to mulch it (and any of my roses) going into the winter. Temp was mild until early Feb when temp drop to -7 F. All roses in the neighborhood including Knock Out roses had serious died back.
I only have 6 varieties, all died to the ground and all have grown back from the roots.
Your yellow rose is so bright yellow. I love it.
Yes it is bright yellow. Not bad looking rose but it was sold and I bought as Alfred Sisley. I can’t grow roses in ground. Rabbits ate them all. I have planted sunflowers three times this year , and now left only
one leafless , headless sunflower stock. I planted 4 lilies and only one left. I expect it soon to be gone any day. The worst, my grafted apples, the rabbits ate the newly grew branches. Well, they didn’t actually ate the branches, they filed the branches down and ate the leafs. And there are more babies rabbits hopping around😤
My purple honeysuckle. This is the first time that I noticed purple color honeysuckle. I’m going to keep it and won’t remove like what I did with man other honeysuckle I removed. Not sure if I should even propagate them. Any market for this?
I grew up in the tropic and we had the plant/flower of your 2nd pic. Brought back a childhood memory.
