What does messy mean exactly when referring to pears?

I’m a little confused on this description of a Ussurian Pear known as “Early Gold”

“This is a high maintenance tree that will require regular care and upkeep, and is best pruned in late winter once the threat of extreme cold has passed. Gardeners should be aware of the following characteristic(s) that may warrant special consideration;
•Messy”

Lots of watersprouts?

other than what 39 and G said, the only other thing I can think of would be a messy looking growth habit. I only have two pears and I’ve often thought Bartlett (at least mine) has a “messy” looking growth habit in comparison to Potomac which remains attractive looking. By messy I mean wirey and somewhat droopy looking branch structure.
