Mara des Bois strawberries. But we ate them with vanilla ice cream. They disappeared before I could get my camera.
Illinois Everbearing mulberries by the handsful; a few off the grafted M.rubra next to the IE trees.
Picked the first two (of many to come) gallons of Kiowa blackberries; ate a few while picking - mostly the ones the Japanese beetles were eating on - and daughter made a blackberry cobbler.
Pulled the weeds out of and mulched the blueberries - and picked and ate a few berries here and there as I did so…they’re just beginning to ripen…seem quite late this year.
Lodi apples are sizing up, first wave are edible; Early June Sugar pear getting close to peak - I ate one yesterday… probably by the end of the week, they’ll be just about right.
Yesterday started off with blackberry jam on homemade biscuits, and end with homemade blackberry ice cream. The day was interspersed with snacks of blueberries, raspberries, and a couple of peaches, and a couple of plums. The plums from Rayrose’s abundance, since I had few this year.
Late spring through much of summer brings the delight of wave after wave of fresh fruit. I’m lovin’ it!
Oh Boy!!!
Strawberries and White Gold cherries, spitting out the pits
Arctic star nectarine and leacot aprium. Both were excellent, the aprium was juicy and I liked it better than cotton candy aprium. Flavor supreme is getting color, can’t wait for that one.
Does anyone else grow leahcot aprium. Just had about a dozen an a tree I planted last year and they are awesome.
Glad to hear as I added rhus one this year. No fruit yet maybe next year I’ll report as soon as I’m able.
I have leah cot aprium, but the tree is still young and I have no fruit yet
Black mulberry, raspberry, blueberries.

Little baby flower watermelon. First one from the garden. Good flavor - about like an above average store bought one. About 75 days after we started seeds.
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh looks really, really good!!!
That’s one fast melon. Looks good!
I’m eating a lot of watermelon this year.
I’m losing weight this summer and nutritionist has recommended me eating a lot of watermelon.
at this time it is very hot and this causes our body to retain more water if needed thus increasing our weight in several kilos and having feeling of being bloated.
if we drink a lot of water (more than 2 liters a day), our body will have excess water and will not retain liquids with what we’re going to lose a little weight, if you do not want to drink water at all hours is good eating watermelon which 90% is water and pineapple which 85% is water, so moisturize our body well … also are two fruits with very few calories
