I like Nu Film 17. Constant rain won’t wash it off.

Mrs. G.
I use Nufilm 17, too. It comes in a large gallon container. It will last me a long time.

I went with Nu Film P because of this statement ;
" * When insecticide and fungicide spray applications are made within 30 days of harvest, switch from Nu-Film-17 to Nu-Film-P. Nu-Film-P is a superior sticking agent but does not have the long term extender properties of Nu-Film-17."

I like to hit my trees with a shot of fungicide in August and some fruit will start ripening before 30 days is up. I should probably pick up a jug of 17 for use earlier in the season.

I need a small container a friend can fit into her suitcase. I only have 20 trees. Does Nu-Film P come in a small size? I cannot get it here. thanks !

I never use Nufilm P but it look like a gallon container.
The only one I know that is small is Bonide Turbo Spreader sticker. It is in an 8 oz container. I used it when I first started growing fruit. It was fine.

Nu Film P does indeed come in a gallon jug.

I’ve used Bonide Turbo and Southern Ag spreader/sticker in the past. Both are available in pint containers. Neither are the “best” but may be “good enough”

If you were by my house I would fill a jar for you. A jar will last years. You only use a teaspoon at most for each application. Yes use the small bottles mentioned nu film is meant for commercial use. Why a gallon is the smallest container.

Nu Film P is sold in Italy in 1 liter bottles. If you want, I can send you a link. It’s added at .7 ml per liter of water

Right now,a quart size container of 3.4 ounce,100 milliliter bottles, can go through TSA.So,maybe, that could work.Uncertain if they’d be suspicious.

Couldn’t a person put a pint container in a checked bag?

I used it too. worked just fine!

I’ve been using my wife’s Dr. Bronner’s hippie soap.

I purchased a gallon of NuFilm17 this spring. Since the amount needed per gallon of water is small ( 1/2 tsp ) and the material pours like honey stored in a fridge I transferred a small amount to a small jelly jar. Now I can dip the amount needed per tank easily with a plastic tsp.

I add the NuFilm17 last as directed and it seems to mix quite well and causes no clogging in my Solo back pack sprayer so far.

One concern I had is that daylight cures the film after it is mixed with water and sprayed. Will my clear small jar of NuFilm17 not mixed with water cure if exposed to light? Will excess mixed spray harden if left in the sprayer for a day or two? What are your experiences using NuFilm17?

I have had NF17 in jars and didn’t notice any changes.

Thanks Andrew, I assumed it was OK but at the price of material it’s best to ask. A lot of experience available here.

What is a good method for measuring and dolling out Nufilm?

Sticking a teaspoon into its gallon jug is no good. More sticks to the spoon than will make it into the spray tank. Filling up an empty dish soap bottle? Still have to funnel and pour it in.

Eying the 10ml syringes that come with kids medicine for the next try.

I wonder if a dedicated honey dipper would serve?
