What is the magic for picking Nakita's Gift Persimmon?

Thanks! Those persimmon trees are crazy in the fall. I saw my first one maybe 40 years ago when I lived in L.A. May have been wintertime, it was all orange fruit and no leaves. From what I recall, they were the big persimmons with pointed bottoms. But this was all recalled when I happened to jog by it. I didn’t know what it was. I wasn’t into growing fruit back then. Just picking figs off mom’s fig tree and some apricots from a tree overhanging some fruit in the alley.

Here is my Nakita’s Gift. Plated maybe '09. Too bad I didn’t plant on level ground. The fruit is hard to pick, not like other fruit you can pull down with a fruit picker. Picks best on a ladder.

…well, enjoy the Fall! One day a big wind comes and all the leaves are gone till next year.
