What is worse for the grower...deer or goats?

Who is more destructive?

I suppose it depends where you are and how big the deer are, but for me it’s goats - they can climb fences!

And eat anything, goats that is. Goats will have a feast after the deer are done and gone.

Goats are used to control Glossy and European buckthorn. Deer will lightly browse the stuff when really hungry, but certainly will never control or kill it.

Being that I don’t have any goats around me my vote is for deer

Goats are more destructive than deer, but I am wondering the reason for your question.

This sounds like a joke–and I’m waiting for the punchline!

When we bought our farm, we were offered the goats that came with it, which we turned down, because we didn’t want any escaping goats to decimate our new fruit trees.

Goats by a country mile.

You’ll never walk outside and see a deer standing on your car looking at you like it pays rent. Deer don’t get on the roof of the shed to climb out of the pen.
