I want to cut out a canker but wanted the process to be sterile, how should I treat the pruning wound that I will be cutting out of a side of a branch. Is there any good homemade disinfectant considering I will be eating the fruit.

This is what I use.
Flame is the best and a lighter should be good enough as long as you char no more than the area desired.

Ok unfortunately I don’t have these if I cut today is there some homemade remedies or I need to get them

As I said carve the canker out with any knife and burn the wood in some way. A peice of steel burned into the wood or anything will do.
