I am trying to know what type of keeper pumpkin squash this is. It has kept over 7 months and tasted great in pumpkin pie…
Reminds me of Triamble squash, but can’t be sure of that.
@PaulinKansas6b, It looks like the Flat White Boer Pumpkin I grew last year from Baker Creek Seeds. I still have one holding in good shape in my basement. Image below from Baker Creek Seeds.
That does really look like Triamble, very much. The color in you photo seems off, is that blue skin, turning paler in long storage? The shape of the squash matches, not many like it.
Does Triamble have that round design on the bottom side? It was a different color when I stored it last fall, I thought it was light green but now it is light yellow after storage
And it tastes like a pumpkin?
Yup, I hadn’t looked very hard for photos before, and couldn’t access my own. There is a circular scar on the bottom, this picture shows one. pumpkin triamble – Zealandia The colors can vary a bit, and I have had them get paler or slight blushed in long storage. I’ve never had the green in the ones I’ve gotten, more cloudy blue-green by the time I buy them in late November.
