When can I transplant my Van Cherry Tree?

I have two dwarf van cherry trees, and he both have been growing un against a fence. Pruning has always been behind fence so they do not get in contact with the wood, or any of the espalier apple trees. I found them a new home, near a good pollinator and know they will thrive in the garden. In a few years these two trees will be great producers.

One question, I live in Kent Washington State. The ground is frozen solid. When is the best time to transplant a two year old dwarf van cherry.

The sit has been dug, soil is ready. We are waiting for the climate to change.

You can transplant them any time they are dormant. Obviously do not mess with them if the ground is frozen but if you get a warm spell and the ground softens up you can transplant them now.

I transplanted on Van Cherry. I have one more to go, but we just got a major freeze.
