When does Wickson break dormancy?

I’ve got a Wickson on G.41 in it’s 3rd year, and it is only now starting to break dormancy. I’m beginning to look at it with a suspicious eye. It has been way behind all my other trees like this every year. It put on a solid amount of growth last year and seems perfectly healthy otherwise. Purchased it from Cummins.

That same year I planted a Golden Russet on G.41 right beside it, and Kerr on G.41 (grafted this one myself) right beside that, both are already leafing out pretty good. I’m in zone 5b.

I’ve also got Grimes Golden, Honeycrisp, Arkansas Black and Black Twig (4th year for each) all of which are in First/Full Bloom already. The searching I did around on the forum, people were mentioning Wickson on the same timeline as Honeycrisp and Golden Russet.

Thanks for the help!

For what it’s worth, mine (on MM111) has been blooming for about a week here in coastal Northern California, pretty much in sync with my Golden Russet graft.

This year it is flowering just now, one of the first of my 14 varieties. Only Chestnut was slightly earlier. My experience with Wickson is that it is quite vigourous and precocious. I am in 6b close to Boston.
