My ya li espalier is fruiting for the first time! Fruit feels hard on the tree still. Any suggestions on when to harvest? There’s only a couple so I’d like to time it well

When the whole fruit is at light yellow stage.

Yes. They are very light and crunchy but mildly sweet. I wish they are sweeter.

Im going to link this thread as cross reference for those searching for additional information Ya Li aka yali. Good luck on the harvest @Lids ! It was a hard choice but i removed the fruits and flowers on my trees because the trees are small.
Great reference cross link! Thank you @clarkinks, it’s been five or six years since I planted the tree. The tsu li pollinator definitely didn’t flower this year (they are both espaliered so easy to monitor), I was super pleasantly surprised to noticed a few ya li fruits. Will keep you posted how they turn out!
