When to harvest ya li pears?

My ya li espalier is fruiting for the first time! Fruit feels hard on the tree still. Any suggestions on when to harvest? There’s only a couple so I’d like to time it well

When the whole fruit is at light yellow stage.

Thank you @tonyOmahaz5 ! And once picked they can be enjoyed right away?

Yes. They are very light and crunchy but mildly sweet. I wish they are sweeter.

Im going to link this thread as cross reference for those searching for additional information Ya Li aka yali. Good luck on the harvest @Lids ! It was a hard choice but i removed the fruits and flowers on my trees because the trees are small.

Great reference cross link! Thank you @clarkinks, it’s been five or six years since I planted the tree. The tsu li pollinator definitely didn’t flower this year (they are both espaliered so easy to monitor), I was super pleasantly surprised to noticed a few ya li fruits. Will keep you posted how they turn out!
