"Winter of the Great Divide" sees "cold and snowy conditions in the north, drought in the west, and everything crazy in between."
Est. reading time: 4 minutes
The Farmer’s Almanac is predicting a very cold winter for most of the northern part of the country. Those in the South seem to be facing unpredictable weather with wild swings.
And to think I was hoping for another winter like 2019-2020 again…
Anyone put any faith in these long term predictions?

They are about as reliable as The weather channel’s forecast for days 3 through 10!!!

(Actually I should amend that…the Almanac is about 70 to 80 % right…
and I’m not sure twc can do that well just for 3 days!~

I’d be right 70-80% of the time if I predicated cold and snowy for the north.

Squirrels are all still looking rather skinny here. It is still summer, but they seem to be digging more in my yard and pots than normally.

The bear pictures people are posting in my area in NY are showing very very fat bears.
