It’s a pretty unusual snow event for us. A significant number of people were out of power. They’ve got most of the roads cleared today.

Last fall my brother noticed the kernels of persimmons here were shaped like a spoon, so he said we were in for snow this winter. I’m not one who attributes much significance to old fables but it worked this year.

Crazy year, we have just about nil snow cover here, if we get some really cold temps those roots are going to be in trouble. Generally we’d have about at least a foot on the ground here but not this winter…
